Newborn at home packages

First 24hrs package
An experienced newborn consultant will be with you for the first 24hrs after bringing your baby home. She will help you to feed, wind, change, bathe, dress and settle your new baby, and will teach you how to manage these tasks for yourselves. She will happily discuss all aspects of baby care, and explain the importance of establishing routine and regular feed times.
This package costs from £300.

Antenatal consultation
A two-hour at home consultation prior to the birth, where our newborn expert will answer any questions you may have regarding the imminent arrival of your new baby. She will cover all aspects of feeding, sleeping, bathing, changing, and routine.  She will also advise you which essential items you need to buy, and which of the baby goods on the market are completely unnecessary!
This package costs from £60 plus travelling costs.

Newborn consultation
As above, but this visit will take place once the baby has arrived.
Again, a two-hour consultation in your home to advise you about all aspects of baby care and routine.

Breast to bottle support service
So, for medical or personal reasons, you are about to move your baby from exclusive breastfeeding to either combination, or exclusive bottle-feeding. Or perhaps you are still exclusively breastfeeding but have decided to start expressing some milk so that someone else can give your baby a feed now and then.

Whatever the reason for introducing a bottle, let us first say congratulations on having breastfed your baby - even if just for a short time. Progression to the bottle is a natural development for most families, although we know it can be stressful time for both parents and baby, especially if baby is over six weeks and has little or no bottle-feeding experience thus far.

Our consultants have much experience in handling this transition, and are able to offer practical and useful information via telephone consultation, or with a 24-48 hour home visit. In our experience, it can take this long for a baby to be fully comfortable with the bottle-feeding process. Having someone with practical experience on hand to help make the transition as smooth and simple as possible can be an invaluable source of support for parents.

We also regularly find that the breast-to-bottle transfer period can be a perfect time to establish a more regular daily feeding routine, and perhaps for the baby to start dropping night feeds. Our consultants can offer guidance and support either with a 24-48 hour booking for bottle-feeding support, or via a telephone consultation.

Add-ons available:

Telephone consultation
£25 for up to 60 minutes telephone support, following a home consultation. This can be taken in one session or split into four x 15 minute sessions. It can take place at any time in the two-weeks following the home visit.

Night nanny
Our experienced night nannies work with both single and twin babies. The nanny will come to your home before the late evening feed and, if bottle feeding, will take over care of your baby for the night so that you can sleep soundly knowing your baby is in safe, experienced hands.
If breastfeeding, she will bring baby to mum at feeds times, then change and settle baby, allowing you to go back to sleep. She will leave in the morning after having cleaned and sterilized all the equipment used during the night.

Single baby - from £130 per night (9hrs)
Twins - from £160 per night (9hrs)

Our night nannies can come for one-off visits, can be available for longer stretches, or be booked on a regular basis of 1-7 nights per week for as many weeks as required.
